Free random number generator

Need a random number—or a hundred of them? Our free random number generator delivers instantly. Set your minimum and maximum, choose how many numbers you want, and generate. Turn on no-repeats mode for unique picks, perfect for draws and raffles where each number should appear only once, and sort the results if you want them in order.

One-tap presets cover the classics: roll a die, flip a coin, roll a d20, or pick from 1–100. Every number comes from your device's cryptographically secure random generator — the same quality used for security tools — so results are genuinely unpredictable and fair, with no bias toward any value. Copy the whole list in one click. Whether you're running a giveaway, playing a game, sampling data, or settling a decision, you'll get fair numbers in a tap.

Simply set a range and generate. No sign-up, no downloads, no limits.

Why secure randomness matters

JavaScript's built-in Math.random is fast but not designed to be unpredictable or unbiased — it's unsuitable for anything where fairness matters. This tool instead uses the Web Crypto API's crypto.getRandomValues, the same source used to generate passwords and encryption keys, combined with rejection sampling so every number in your range has an exactly equal chance of appearing. There's no modulo bias toward low or high values, even for ranges that don't divide evenly.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the random number generator work?

Set a minimum and maximum, choose how many numbers you want, and click Generate. Each number is drawn using your browser's cryptographically secure random number generator, mapped evenly onto your chosen range.

Is it free?

Yes, completely free with no sign-up, no limits, and no ads blocking the tool.

How random are the numbers really?

Numbers come from the Web Crypto API's crypto.getRandomValues, the same cryptographically secure source used for generating passwords and encryption keys. Results are mapped onto your range using rejection sampling, so every value in the range is equally likely — there's no bias toward any particular number.

What does no-repeats mode do?

When enabled, every number in the result is unique — no value appears twice. This is useful for raffles, draws, and lottery-style picks. The count you request can't exceed the size of your range in this mode.

Can I use negative numbers or a negative range?

Yes. Enter any minimum and maximum, including negative values, as long as the minimum is less than or equal to the maximum.

What do the dice, coin, and d20 presets do?

Presets instantly fill in the range and count for common use cases: a six-sided die (1–6), a coin flip (shown as Heads or Tails), a twenty-sided die (1–20), a number from 1–10, a number from 1–100, or a 6-of-49 lottery-style unique pick.

Is this fair enough for a giveaway or raffle?

Yes. Because it uses cryptographically secure randomness with unbiased range mapping, results are as fair as flipping a coin or rolling dice — no value in your range is more likely to appear than any other.

How many numbers can I generate at once?

Up to 1,000 numbers in a single click, either with or without repeats.

Is any of my data stored or sent anywhere?

No. Every number is generated locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, stored, or logged.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes, the tool is fully responsive and works on any modern phone, tablet, or desktop browser.
