What it is
Every protein in a cell is built from a sequence of mRNA codons, each read by the ribosome as an instruction for one amino acid โ or a signal to stop. This tool presents the complete standard genetic code as an interactive grid, and includes a translation mode that walks through a real sequence exactly as a ribosome would, one codon at a time.
