About the Color Palette Generator
A free, browser-based tool that applies color theory to turn any base color into a complete, ready-to-use palette.
What it is
The Color Palette Generator takes a single base color and applies one of six classic color harmony rules to produce a palette of five coordinated colors. For each color you get the HEX, RGB, and HSL values — all copyable with one click. The tool runs entirely in your browser; nothing is uploaded or stored.
Harmony modes
Complementary
Pairs your base color with its opposite on the color wheel — maximum contrast, great for highlights and CTAs.
Analogous
Three neighboring hues spaced 15–30° apart — calm, cohesive, ideal for professional UI themes.
Triadic
Three colors evenly spaced at 120° — vibrant and balanced, popular in illustration and branding.
Split-Complementary
Base color plus the two hues flanking its complement — high contrast with less tension than complementary.
Tetradic (Square)
Four hues evenly spaced at 90° — richly varied, best used with one dominant and others as accents.
Monochromatic
Shades and tints of a single hue — minimal, elegant, and easy to work with for any skill level.
